There is considerable diversity in bicycle jackets so consider what features you are looking for: warm for winter, water proof - but recognise these are often less breathable, breathable, wind resistant, light weight (for hill climbing), robust - to survive touring or daily commuting, packable to be easily stowed in a jersey pocket when not used, vented to avoid over heating, convertible to also be a vest, bright for low light, reflective for when there is no light other than headlights.
