Not all bicycle apparel is cut to the same specifications.
For example as size 12 in one brand may be the same as a 10 in another. Others have different fits and proportions. Some are also styled for a tight or race fit - while others can be a loose or comfort fit. When these are noteable we seek to add information in the product description. Brands vary sizing and styling between ranges as well. Please use the sizing charts attached to the product descriptions.
In many of the cases the sizing is not exact as the product is flexible and designed the be elastic.
This is also variation betrween brands and European and non European sourced garments. The European garments tend to be
- Smaller cut than equivalent Australian, American, and Japanese garments. If in doubt order a size larger than usual
- Shorter on the legs in knicks - especially in women's
We encourage people to come in and try a range or products to really find what suits them. If ordering online please check the size charts attached to the products and remember we swap garments for the cost of postage - just send it back in a saleable condition with the tags and we will exchange it.... you won't be the first.

Some general points on fit by brand:
Santini sizing
About one size smaller than normal australian sizing. Shorter cut on the leg for women's knicks (a European styling). The jerseys can be shorter in the body - in some cases we note this explicitly in the product description
Netti Cinettica Uno Sugoi Sizing
Roughly equivalent to normal Australian/American sizing
Skins Compression Sizing
Skins Compression sizing is quite different to normal sizing and the included sizing charts must be used. For women some (non cycling) garments are even cut in two body shapes. The compression garments are made of highly elastic material and must have some tightness to operate. If on the border shoose the smaller size. They should be equivalent tightness to normal tights/pantyhose i.e able to be pinched from the skin with out too much difficulty
BBB Sizing
Dutch brand BBB cuts most of its garment euivalent to Australian sizing. Some women's knicks are European styled and cut shorter on the leg. |
