Assos Equipe RS Schlosshund Rain Jacket Lolly Red

Size

The Assos Equipe RS Schlosshund rain jacket has our vote for the most suitable rain jacket for Australia. It's fully waterproof but more breathable and pack-able than the renowned heavy duty Assos SturmPrinz jacket. This jacket weighs a mere 170g. It is a bright colour and has a big reflective strip the whole way down the back for safety in miserable conditions.

The Schlosshund falls in the Summer and Spring/Fall Assos temperature ranges which cover the Australian climate exceptionally well. You can still wear a thermal underneath this without being concerned about overheating.

The fabric is designed for stretch and movement. It has fully taped seams, and stretch water resistant fabric around the wrist to allow easy removal while riding, but ensures water is kept out. It has a double zip to allow more breathability on warmer days by allowing the lower zip section to be opened up.

The back has large slots to access your regular jersey pockets underneath. The hem has a very stretchy and grippy gel gripper to ensure jacket stays pulled down and to hug the hips.

*This jacket is a full race cut - please go up a size if you do not desire a full race fit*

Halo Anti Freeze Headband

Great purchase for warm ears in the freezing cold.

Cycling jacket

Great jacket for the rain and lightweight so that one can keep it in back of top when rain stops

Good winter jersey

I brought one of these jerseys, coupled with the BBB Coldshield bib tights last year prior to moving to Canberra. Yeap, negative temperatures and they have performed excellently. The fit is comfortable and I've found the warmth factor to be satisfactory a little on the chill side but not uncomfortable. Slightly chill is good 'cause a few of my morning rides into work (26km) have meant leaving home when it's -6 degrees and not much warmer at the destination and you quickly warm up on the hills. This jersey has had a good workout this year and I'm planning on getting a second, just hanging out hoping they'll come on sale soon though I will say the price is pretty good value even at full price.

Excellent winter riding tights

I brought a pair of these, coupled with the BBB Triguard jersey last year prior to moving to Canberra. Yeap, negative temperatures they have performed excellently. The fit is snug, as you would want it to be, but very comfortable and I've found the warmth factor to be satisfactory, which is good 'cause a few of my morning rides into work (26km) have meant leaving home when it's -6 degrees and not much warmer at the destination. The chamois is also quite comfortable and keeps its shape. These bibs have had a good workout this year and I'm planning on getting a second pair, just hanging out hoping they'll come on sale soon though I will say the price is pretty good value even at full price.
