LYCRA®

LYCRA® is a family of premium stretch fibres that provide fabrics and garments with incomparable fit, comfort, freedom of movement and crease recovery.

With a remarkable ability to stretch up to 600% and spring back to its original length, it can be combined with virtually every other fibre - both natural and manmade - to achieve different levels of stretch and recovery, while retaining the hand and appearance of the majority fibre.

E-FLECT®

E-FLECT® the reflective, functional clothing system of Eschler incorporates the ideal combination of function and safety.

A reflective print, using “Reflective Ink qualified by 3M”, shines at night as soon as a source of light is directed on the print. The athlete becomes more visible. E-FLECT® serves the dual purpose of making sports not only a pleasure, but also a safe activity.

GEL-EXTECH

The term Extech Gel is used for all the products in the Santini range with Twist Gel padding, but that are stitched to the bibshorts with the special technique patented by Santini.

The system is designed to maximise the comfort of the shorts by eliminating any seams that would be in direct contact with the skin.

The Extech Gel padding is attached to a separate panel and sewn via a special hole in the bibshorts. This way all the stitching is on the outside, meaning internally the bibshorts are absolutely seamless. By this means you avoid any unnecessary fabric since the padding is directly in contact with the saddle.

The micro mesh on the outside alows a great ventilation and helps stop you sliding around on the saddle, the internal Twist Gel guarantees the best possible performance and durability.

TWIST GEL

The great champions of the bike texted the characteristics, which make this padding unique:

1) Elasticity - the chamois follows the shape of your body
2) Softness - the microfiber fabric "Meryl", with its high absorbing properties and treated with antibacterial "Sanitized", assures a comfortable contact with the skin
3) Absence of seams - the padding's special stitching and framework have been studied to assure the total absence of rough parts in contact with the skin
4) Self-airing - the holes on the outside surface of the padding, allow a proper ventilation drawing moisture away from the skin
5) Anti-sliding - the micro-mesh of the external chamois has been studied to assure a neater seat on saddle
6) Twist-gel heart - essential element which assures total protection and a regular distibution of the weights.

Innovative material, studied to assure the higher comfort, Twist-gel recreates a surprising analogy with the skin. Thanks to its jellylike consistence it offers low thermic conductibility, avoids the overheating and stimulates the circulation of the blood in the points in contact with the body.

Twist-gel is different from traditional filling foams, because of its great absorbing properties, and its distribution of weights capacity. These attributes allow to reduce the loads on the body and to distribute them more correctly with a perfect absorption of vibrations. Its shape can be twisted up to 800% under compression and it returns to the original dimension without any change.

LYCRA® POWER can give improved spatial awareness, improved endurance, greater power when muscles are covered and compressed.

GEL INTECH

Santini were the first company to introduce silicon Gel to its chamois inserts.

Intech Gel is our classic, with standard stitching. It is an extremely high performance product, specially engineered with a layer of Twist Gel inside. The special anatomical shape is specially designed for women.

The Gel helps to consistently and gradually absorb and dampen road shocks. The different layers and composition of the materials in the padding guarantee both elasticity and breathability.

Its long term performance is guaranteed because the shape and composition of the gel doesn't change with washing and use. The different feel and comfort of the Gel Intech chamois compared to traditional paddings is noticeable from the first time you ride it.

The Gel inserts are the perfect solution when used with very hard saddles. Santini bibshorts are designed for maximum performance and fit in the tucked position.

TWIST GEL FLUID

In the Santini Fluid products the technology used is the special way Santini glue the padding to the shorts.

The Gel Fluid padding is fixed to the bibshorts thanks to a special hypoallergenic warm glue. This process has been tried and tested to guarantee the padding doesn't peel off the shorts and to ensure the total absence of any raised areas that could possibly cause irritations or abrasions during riding.

The special elasticity of the padding allows great body movements thanks to the composition of our Twist Gel.

TOP

The project and the production of this chamois is the synthesis of very high quality materials and design technics never used before. The Top insert (shown above) is used in the Santini basic bibknicks.

TOP is made of:
(1) Synthesis coagulum of highly absorbent microporous fibres with antibacterial treatment.
(2) 6mm thick layer of high density foam having conformation foldings at the saddle point
(3) 3mm thick layer of low density foam with hemming for hidden seam at the saddle friction area.
(4) Support base in Micropail with thread covering hem
(5) Cotton sponge Micro with 1mm thick pad on the front section.

TOP is completely micropierced, thus it allows a capillary aeration. TOP doesn't need a particular handling. You can wash it and it doesn't become stiff when it is dry, so no cream is necessary to soften it.

The antibacterial protection prevents the proliferation of germs and bacteria and consequently it eliminates the disagreeable smells and skin inflammations.
